Body Sacred - Self HealingOur bodies are Sacred, as is all life. But how many of us treat our bodies with the love, respect and reverence we deserve? We depend on the government medical system to keep us physically healthy, friends and family to keep us emotionally healthy, and spiritual leaders or advisors to keep us spiritually healthy. But our medical system is overloaded, our doctors have too many patients to get to know their medical needs personally, friends and family are transient, and many of our spiritual leaders and advisors don't have the answers we need to fulfill us spiritually. The system is breaking down. We need to take responsibility for - and control of - our own health - body, mind, emotions, and spirit. We do have the power. The allopathic medical system can only put a bandaid on our dis-eases, we need to prevent them in the first place, and work on healing ourselves, working in companionship with the doctors. This workshop is about different alternative modalities you can use on yourself to keep yourself healthy and happy. It is not meant to replace the medical system but to work hand in hand with it. We will talk about how working with our own energy, Universal energy, colours, crystals, chakras, visualization, plants, sound, meditation, kinesiology, tapping, affirmations, mindfulness and more can help us be the powerful, healthy, happy, women we were born to be. |

Solitary Wicca 101Wicca is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. Unfortunately it is also one of the most misunderstood and maligned. The Wicca or witchcraft you watch on tv, see in Hollywood movies, or you read about from Religious Zealots has no bearing on the true path we follow. We do not worship Satan, or even believe that Satan exists. We do believe there is evil in the world, but we do not give it substance by naming it anything other than evil. Wicca is a “user friendly” spirituality. A very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of life, which promotes oneness with the Divine and all which exists. To be Wiccan is to be a healer, a teacher, a seeker, a giver, and a protector of all things. It is about living your life Spiritually 24/7, not just one day a week. It is about taking responsibility and being accountable for your own actions, your own happiness, your own life. Wicca/Witchcraft has been known as "The Craft of the Wise" because most who follow the path are in tune with the forces of nature; have a knowledge of herbs, oil, crystals, and more; look beyond that which we can only see and touch with our physical senses; understand that mankind is not superior to nature, the earth and its creatures but instead we are simply one of the many parts, both seen and unseen that combine to make the whole. As Chief Seattle said; "We do not own the earth, we are part of it." I will explain and talk about Wiccan beliefs, tools, holidays (holydays) rituals, magick, moon rhythms, redes, casting circles, working with crystals, herbs, and oils, sacred wild crafting, spell work, the triple Goddess, directions, elements, sacred space and altars, and more. |

The movements are ancient…reaching back into the mists of antiquity to matriarchal cultures and temple rites…speaking of the secrets of life and procreation, conception and birth. Belly dance is more than just a dance…it is a perfect way for women to connect with each other and with the divine feminine in all of us. It is a celebration of the female spirit in a display of physical strength and beauty. It offers an excellent workout for our bodies as well as for our imagination and creativity. In the time we share, we'll have fun! We'll talk a little bit about the history and culture of the dance and explore the basic movements as we learn a short choreography. Wear something that is comfortable to move in and bring your water bottle and your sense of humor. |

Learning to Love YourselfIn order to be truly happy one of the most difficult things that you may have to do is to love yourself and to show yourself that love, to put in to practice loving, supportive ways that will help you grow. You need to start to respect yourself. You need to treat yourself with gentleness and kindness. So much time is spent on looking after the needs of others and little or no time is put into even considering your own needs. Taking care of your own needs will require you to spend time on yourself- to consider what you need in order to be well. You need to put your needs on your to-do list. You cannot take care of everyone else without taking the time to take care of yourself. Eventually you’re emotional and maybe even physical self will start to become unhealthy. It is time to stop and ask you- what do I need to feel better? Take time to actually tune in to your inner voice. When someone around you is crying you pay attention- you need pay attention when your soul is crying. Comfort yourself as you would anyone else; do what you can to ease your own burden. Participants will learn to: discover what is holding them back from loving themselves; recognize both negative and positive self talk; develop ways of turning negative to positive; learn tools to increase self esteem and lower stress; relax their minds to be able to hear their inner voice; be able to begin the process of being good caregivers to self; learn tools that will end in being accepting who they are right now. |
