I believe that we each have the power within us to achieve anything we can imagine. Personal growth never stops, and it is not an instantaneous thing. I hope the tools I can share with you will be what you need to take action and make a better, more fulfilling, and joyful life for yourself.

Dr. Rev. Jadine Ryder

Reiki GrandMaster, Teacher & Practitioner
Tarot Card Reader
Facilitator of Healing Circles and a wide variety of Metaphysical Workshops

I have been reading Tarot cards for over 25 years. I have studied Reiki for many years and have achieved mastery and certification to the 13th degree. I also practice Tai-Chi and Chi Gong. I have been sensitive to energy all my life. I have gone through a few intense experiences in my life that have compelled me to become very serious about healing myself. I have had 3 near death experiences where I was resuscitated by paramedics. I spent 2 years of my life in a wheelchair due to a debilitating degenerative bone disease , I am a survivor of cancer and abusive relationships . I have learned to heal myself of these and other critical illnesses through applying the teachings of Reiki, Aromatherapy, Herbalis m , Acupressure, Naturopathy, Modern Magick, Shamanism and other healing modalities and spiritual philosophies . I have applied the things I learned from my studie s , to myself and have had some success with my own personal healing.

When I was five years old my family joined an extreme fundamentalist sect borderline cult. When I was a teenager I mustered up the courage to leave the cult and since then I have spent my entire life including many years at University studying sects, cults, psychology, religion, ancient cultures, earth based belief systems and many other spiritual philosophies. I have prepared an extensive thesis on cults, examining the control mechanisms they use to manipulate people, how to de-program from mind control & brainwashing and most importantly how to heal from these and other spiritual abuses.

It is my honor to share with others the knowledge I have gained from my studies and from my life experiences . It is a pleasure to guide others towards gaining some "real life" tools to assist in personal healing, transformation, self-empowerment, personal and spiritual growth. Although it is not necessary, sometimes it takes a crisis to awaken the light and divinity within. It is my belief that each one of us is a precious divine sacred being. I look forward with great joy to spending some time together with you sharing this incredible journey we call life. Thank you for crossing my path and blessing me with your light! I am so excited to be part of your Woman's Festival!

Angel

I started pole dancing 3 years ago after seeing it on the internet and reading about it in magazines. It looked like a lot of fun, and a pretty good workout. It turned out to be one of the most fun things I do, and I feel it is the BEST workout a woman can get! Pole fitness is now my life. I began teaching in January 2008 and have since taught over 300 women in Prince George area. Several of these women now own their own poles and are what I call "Pole Addicts"! Pole work feels very freeing, it works your entire body, and is the closest thing to flying I've ever experienced!

My name is Laura Bennett, I am recently 40 and life is the best that it has been in years! I have two incredible sons, Tim (24) and Matt (18), being a Mom is my most important job. I am an abuse survivor and have learned that self care is key to reaching your own true potential.

I enjoy volunteering and my hobbies include reading, games, puzzles, acting, and writing. My dream job is writing and helping others on their paths to self actualization.

I am a practitioner of random and directed acts of kindness. I believe that we are all on this journey together and we might as well help each other along. My wish for you is that you find out who you truly are and that you are pleased to have made that acquaintance.

Sheri Bishop, BSc, MSW

Being born and raised in Prince Rupert, BC I am a northern girl at heart and have stayed in the north my entire life. For the last 11 years I have worked in the area of violence against women which has given me the opportunity to meet many strong amazing women. In March I successfully defended my thesis entitled, “Vicarious Traumatization: The Danger of the Unknown,” and in May was awarded my Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Northern BC.

I am truly honoured to have been apart of the Salmon Valley Woman’s Festival for the last two years. Through the facilitation of an empowerment workshop on assertiveness I have been able to meet many amazing women all on there own journey to be more assertive in their lives. It has been through my own personal journey, education, and work experience that I have learned the fundamental principles of assertiveness. I believe that assertiveness helps individuals to take care of themselves while continuing to be respectful to others. Progressing through my own journey to become more assertive I no longer feel guilty for everything, I am a stronger, more independent woman, and I have learned how to effectively communicate with others. Going into the 3rd Annual Salmon Valley Woman’s Fest, I look forward to not only sharing my experiences with you but learning about the struggles and successes you have had on your own personal journey towards assertiveness.

Brenda Ann Bye

I discovered bellydance in 1996 at a Renaissance Faire in Vancouver, Washington. The primitive rhythm of the drums drew me from across the meadow and I was mesmerized by the dancer's age- old moves. My dance journey had begun. I have enjoyed being both a student and a teacher over the years and have been sharing my version of bellydance with others in workshops around the province as well as weekly classes in Quesnel for about 10 years now. I also enjoy directing “The Jewels of the Fraser”......a performing troupe based in Quesnel.

Middle Eastern Dance, more commonly known as Belly Dance is ancient…with it's roots in temple rites and matriarchal cultures. It is an excellent way to reconnect with our femininity in the very Masculine world that we live in. It is a celebration of the female spirit and women of all ages, shapes and sizes find joy in the uplifting moves. It has been both sacred and scorned over the years….and was once a gift; danced by women, for women. It is still a gift…one that we give to ourselves as well as share with each other. Unveil the dancer within you.

Myhrr M.

My name is Myhrr, and I am the mother of one beautiful daughter, Laura, and grandmother of two very old souls, Chloe and Brooke.

Each day is a gift from our Blessed Mother. It took me 50 years to “get it”, however, once I did, my life began to change in leaps and bounds.

After 50 years of living with my head in the clouds, I finally began to listen to the musings of our Blessed Mother. In one short year, she has taught me to see the beautiful glory of her creation, which is something I’d love to share with you. You too, can become a channel of peace, love, and harmony. She wants us to change the world, one person at a time. Come with me and experience the love that She wants to share with you.

Blessed be,
Myhrr

Jeanie Malbeuf

Greetings to all, I have been interested in plants & gardening for as far back as I can remember. I was fascinated by how my dad could throw a shovel of dirt & make it land exactly where he wanted it. There is a rhythm to it that I now have . It's in my heart, soul & bones.  My interest in wild plants started over thirty years ago when I worked for Provincial Parks. I wanted to know what they were used for & how to use them. I hope to pass a little of this knowledge on to you

I’m very excited to be a part of the Woman’s Festival!! The past two years at the Woman’s Festival have inspired great personal and professional growth and development. I hope that the assertiveness workshops do the same for you. Assertiveness is not only a skill set that can be learned it is also a way of being. I look forward to teaching and sharing assertiveness strategies with you and to challenge you to make a small shift in the mindset of “being” more assertive. I’m just as excited to share my own personal journey in assertiveness with you as I am to learn from your experiences. I look forward to seeing you at the Woman’s Festival
