I, Robyn, wise, creative, nature/moon honourer, energy reader. I have been helping to empower women/children & youth for over 24 years Of my life as a advocate. I have been on a spiritual path for many years now and I believe in the power of positive thinking. I am very blessed to own the resort on the banks of the Salmon River in PG B.C.. The 27-acre private, tranquil park setting of big old growth trees has a rhythm of her own. It has amazing energy, so peaceful, spiritual and serene.
I am honoured to once again be co-organizing the woman's festival with Robyn this year. Our dreams of the Salmon Valley Woman's Festival is to help women discover their feminine wisdom and power through sharing experiences and having programs that offer healing, spiritual awareness and personal development. Presently, the world is out of balance and harmony, with continually rising crime rates, environmental issues, disease, war and povery. This is because there is too much yang (male) energy and not enough yin (female) energy in the world. Female energy is expressed through the heart and the senses. We are the wives, mothers, daughters, lovers, warriors, sisters, healers, nurturers, maidens, queens and crones, and our energy is a strong, powerful and creative energy. We are not anti-men, we need male energy to balance out with the female energy, but as women, we are more in touch with the cycles of life and with the moon and earth rhythms The present imbalance of energy, our disconnection with Nature and Mother Earth, has placed all life on earth in danger. The grandmothers (see www.grandmothersspeak.com ) say "it is time to return to balance, and for this the women must lead." We CAN be the change we wish to see in the world. Robyn and I hope that in organizing this festival, in some small way we help to encourage the awakening of the female spirit and intuitive wisdom in a safe, healing, comfortable setting. A place where we can all feel free to be our wise women selves, to share experiences, laughter, healing, dance, song, and create a lasting bond of sisterhood.

We want to thank all the participants, facilitators, volunteers, and vendors for their part in making the first annual woman's festival a huge success. It was amazing to observe the women as they laughed, bonded, cried, learned, shared. Built all new relationships as well as nurtured the old ones. The energy was held in the main gathering area and lasted there for at least a month; it was powerful. It confirmed our belief that women gathering creates a huge surge of power into the universe that is on-going and long-lasting; totally astonishing. I believe that our intention was fulfilled; and all who joined us on this quest received a new lens in which to look at their lives through.
